Some of my favourite teatime treats!


When I am having a gathering with family and friends, I love to bake! On this ‘little’plate of delights are shortbread, flapjacks, cornflake cakes and chocolate discs.

Here is the recipe for the chocolate discs, which are so easy to make and can be personalised and decorated any way you wish!

Chocolate Discs

You can use any chocolate you like, personally I would use darker to make it slightly healthier, however, a little bit of what you fancy is fine so go for whatever choccy you like! I have made white and dark on this plate.

How to make:

Prepare a baking tray by lining it with baking paper.

Next, gently melt the chocolate in a bain-maria until smooth and runny (or you can do this  step in the microwave for ease).

Using a spoon, spoon out a small bit of the chocolate and with the back of the spoon, press the mixture into a circle shape to look like a disc. Repeat until you have used all of the melted chocolate.

Then simply decorate with sprinkles, 100s and 1000s or dried fruits and leave to set in the fridge.

After a few hours, you will be able to peel each disc from the baking paper and they are ready to eat.

These are lovely with a cup of tea, but would also make a lovely little gift for your chocoholic friends!
